It turns out that 'Black Holes' is dead. The black spots on his body were just holes caused by the spikes on the tractor wheels that ran him over. I thought he was licking my face but it was really just his entrails falling out and getting in my nose and mouth. I always wondered why he just sat around the way he did, and I'm surprised that i didnt notice he was dead when i picked him up and hugged his remains the first moment i found him.

I suppose i shouldnt have taken him to show and tell at Bradley's school. It turns out that several of the kids have odd diseases now.
My life is full of wonder and exitement.

last time i took one of these tests i was pegged as an ENTP - the inventor. pretty much what this shows is that im right on the brink between an intp and an entp and it really kind of puts into perspective what kind of person i am. interestingly enough, alex is an intp as well.

INTP - the Architect
You scored 45% I to E, 15% N to S, 71% F to T, and 63% J to P!

You are more introverted than extroverted. You are more intuitive than
observant, you are more thinking based than feeling based, and you
prefer to go with the flow rather than have a routine. The single word
to describe your type is the Architect, which belongs to the larger
group of rationals. You wish to sculpt the world around you. Others
often find you arrogant, yet you have no desire to direct others, only
to inform them. You must know the structure of things, and have a
voracious appetite for knowledge. You are very rational in everything
you do, and probably consider yourself smarter than most.

As a romantic partner, you can be playful with great energy to get
things started, but not quite as good on follow through. You may have a
tendency to hurt the more emotional types unintentionally by not
sharing your own reactions and feelings as you can get swept up in your
own ideas and projects. You want to be appreciated for your ability to
respond quickly and to fix problems creatively. You need plenty of time
to yourself - therefore your parnter must respect your need for
independence and originality.

Your group summary: Rationals (NT)

Your type summary: INTP

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 55% on I to E

You scored higher than 9% on N to S

You scored higher than 82% on F to T

You scored higher than 66% on J to P

Link: The LONG Scientific Personality Test written by unpretentious2 on Ok Cupid, home of the 32-Type Dating Test

i have slept probably 5 hours in the past 3 days. we played my old friend juan's house party the other day. there was a lot of people there, probably close to 250, most of them girls because there was a list for boys but any girls could get in. most typical high school party ever. the cops came in the end and all the kegged up drunk kids ran into the woods. i just kinda chilled with my friends from 23 jinx for most of it and caught the whiffs of the overbearing clove cigarettes which nearly everyone was smoking except me and them. the advent of the cops meant we could get out stuff out of there, which was good, and i finally got home about about 1:30 only to feel the need to shower, change, eat dinner, unpack some of my personal equiptment, and pray to my alter of scroog mcduck, and slept.

the next day i chilled for a bit in the morning with my femfriend adding athen's myspace people and trying to get them to come to the show, dropped by alex's and moved all the equipment from my car to his mothers since his mother was driving up for the night to viset alex's grandmother anyways and we wanted to save on gas. patrick, alex, and i rode with her and alex's little sister up to athens in caravan with ian and zachary in their van with their parents (real rock star, huh?) and found ourselves in front of Dt's at about 7:30. We ate at transmetropolitan (cheap pizza place, i got my whole meal for 4.50) and met up with the sovus radio guys whome i love dearly. they tried to pick up change playing acoustic songs out front while we all loaded into the tiny tiny venue. one microphone, shitty pa, really small bar, no payment, hella fun brosif. hella cutty indeed. we played well, sovus played really well, and we got our name out there and popped out athens cherry. got back at about 2:00 and attempted to sleep on alex's grandmother's floor while watching clockwork orange, ate lots of bagels, and drove back.

music:
paul mccartney - chaos and creation in the backyard :: i am really enjoying this album. very unique. some of it sounds like a mix between pinback and cave in, other between coldplay and radiohead... way better than i expected.

im doing research on children with aids, here is some of that research buts its kind of old. if any of you know where i can get better, more recent statistics and information i would highly appreciate you informing me:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

More than 2,000 children are infected with HIV each day worldwide according to recent estimates.

Mother-to-child transmission has accounted for more than 90% of all HIV infections worldwide in infants and children.

In 2000, 3 million people died of AIDS – 500,000 (1,400 per day) of them were children.

More than 36.1 million people are infected with HIV worldwide and 1.4 million of them are children.

This epidemic disproportionately affects children of color. In 1998, 58% of the children with AIDS in the U.S. were African American and 23% were Hispanic.

AIDS has orphaned at least 10.4 million children currently under 15 (that is, they have lost their mother or both parents to the epidemic). The total number of children orphaned by the epidemic since it began—13.2 million—is forecast to more than double by 2010.

AIDS-related deaths caused some 2.3 million children to become orphans (at the rate of 1 every 14 seconds) in 2000. UNICEF estimates that up to a third of those children were less than five years old.

Before the onset of AIDS, about 2% of all children in developing countries were orphans. By 1999, 10% and more were orphans in some African countries.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everybody Vote for CA on http://www.musicdraft.com and get all of your aim buddies and theirs to follow suite. winning would just be neat, even though im not quite sure what we get if we win.

Things are quite boring as of now.
here's the low-down:

A.Saw the incredible Muse show today with Carolyn, Charlie, and his friend Thom, who i was glad to meet. Didnt get to stay until the end because carolyn had to get home, but i saw an hour's worth of them. Razorlight, before them, played for an hour as well and to be nice... sucked. They were generic, out-of-the-pocket, and really boring. Their light person was talented though...

speaking of Muse... i played "falling away with you" acoustically for my "audition" for Peter Channell(sp?) day. I auditioned so that it could help me sell tickets and cd's for our may 7, masquerade show. I chose this song because i like to play it, its really hard, but its vocally flashy. if you havnt heard this song, then download it or something because its one of my favorites. i was really nervous. i have never played acoustically and ALONE in front of many people. but i was nervous and it definately showed, i was kind of choppy and vocally moderate. i played the song in front of probably around 40 people, and got a good taste of what solo performances are like. the next day i had a bunch of kids (especially in 8th, 9th, and 10th) approaching me and telling me how great it did and how amazing they thought it was. none-the-less i didnt make the audition.

im not sure how this makes me feel. this is 2 days after i come in third in emergenza semifinals at Earthlink live, 2 days after the official "release" of our new material recorded at Treesound, one day after we start actively working towards this other big show we are working on putting together. it made me feel like i was riding on the talent of my (very talented) bandmates and that i didnt really have the talent individually. it wasnt really the not making the audition that bothers me, its the losing out to groups of guys like brent ducote's band. in the end, i figure i need more experience performing solo acoustically and getting more comfertable playing alone in front of a crowd. if anyone here is willing to help me out with that, then so be it, but otherwise i suppose i'll just be performing songs like "falling away with you" in front of the mirror.

glassjaw is no more

other music: i have a new favorite song...
Two Tabs of Mescaline - Glassjaw :: this song is incredible and the lyrics are really good. here are my favorite... "my turkish prison is knowing that i fit in... and....and...i fit IN!"

oh yeah... and CA songs are now for sale on iTunes and napster and stuff. we also have 'captain holmes and the whale of time' for sale on cdbaby... tell all your out-of-town friends that they should buy it..

This will be my rant about the Atlanta music scene. For those of you who dont know much of it; read and be enlightened, for those of you who have experienced it please post your opinions and reactions...

There are a circle of somewhere between 8-9 huge regional bands who i keep on hearing about. This doesnt necesarily make them good, but it does mean that regionally and locally they are promoted quite a bit, those bands are: Crazy Anglos, Red Letter Agent, YOU, Echovalve, Family Force 5, Avenge Vegas, Bain Maddox, Lazyeye, Jad, Second Shift, and Rantings of Eva. Almost all of these have their promotions centered around the Atlanta Music Guide ( www.atlantamusicguide.com ) which seems to promote some bands quite well. We have played with some of these bands, we have met some of these bands, and they seem pretty nice, but only a few of them do i really feel belong on my 'like' list.

There is an actual sound and style that regions have. Seattle (at least in the early 90's) had a thriving grunge scene and bands like nirvana and the presidents of the united states of america would prove that in seattle they would make a practice out of saying the same one or two words again and again and again at a some point in the song. In DC it is this unique kind of punk-psycadelia sound like frodus, and central california is riddled with punk - post hardcore / emo bands. but there are bands like that in pretty much every highschool now... Atlanta has a style of its own as well. I dont know any city with more Pantera-Wannabe's than this one. We have played countless shows with this hardcore metal bands that are just terrible. Terrible Metal and Terrible Hip-Hop are THE WORST. The general style of this region is marked by this. It saddens me how the number bands in the Atlanta area that i like can pretty much be counted on one hand. But the ones i like i think really have promise.

For me, i think my very favorite local bands would be 'sovus radio' and 'to whom it concerns.' i would check out their myspace pages if i were you, but im not, so i guess i'll have to climb into your body and force you to do it myself. we've played with 'sovus radio' and 'to whom it concerns' just has some awsome music and is involved with treesound.

the 23 jinx guys are too good to us. they have come out to almost all of our shows this past year, and have been really helpful with some stuff. from now on im going to have to get defensive anytime one of you guys are going to bash their band. they really have a passion for this business, they work really hard, and even if some of you dont like it, their new stuff is delish.

And my definition of the day:
di·ar·rhe·a also di·ar·rhoe·a Audio pronunciation of "diarrhea" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (d-r)
n.

Excessive and frequent evacuation of watery feces, usually indicating gastrointestinal distress or disorder.

i've been posting too much, but i couldnt resist after reading this article...

http://www.theconservativevoice.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=3786

its a conservative blog that i came across. evidently they advocate that the lebonize rallying for syria to leave their country is a sign that 'The Bush Plan' and democracy promotion is working. Unfortunately the concept of people rising up to rid a unsatisfactory military or diplomatic power corrupting their government isnt new. Lets say... the islamic jihad against the US! So great job for the Bush administration, they convinced the UN to continue with something they were already working on (charter 1335, to get the syrians out of lebannon). Perhaps he doesnt seem to understand that we serve as an unsatisfactory military and diplomatic power in almost every country in that region. If he wants to continue with his plans of 'democracy promotion' he better tread softly because we are bound to step in a bear trap pretty soon.

Brian's alternative? GET THE FUCK OUT! We keep embassies only in the countries in the middle east, promote multilateral actions and diplomatic resolve, and use our overstretched military power to solve the iraq crises and to supply to UN missions.

good times author rant or privetization...
http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/business/11046125.htm

muzik:
ernie ball botb - i entered tonight, not quite sure how it works, but if the judges like the song then we play at warped...that would be sweet....
